🇵🇱  Miałam przyjemność czytać inną książkę autorki i byłam zachwycona, więc gdy tylko wypatrzyłam Smoczą Iskrę, wiedziałam, że muszę ją przeczytać.Pod względem historii i motywów to absolutne złoto i dokładnie coś dla mnie: enemies to lovers i dragon shifters. I to takie „prawdziwe” smoki — zaborcze, gwałtowne i uwielbiające gromadzić błyskotki. Wręcz mają prywatne skarbce 😄

Sam świat to miks urban fantasy z elementami sci-fi… a może magii? 🤔 W sumie trudno to jednoznacznie określić — obstawiałabym mieszankę, ale zdecydowanie ma futurystyczny klimat.

Moją największą uwagą do tej książki jest to, że główna bohaterka była trochę zbyt zafiksowana na swojej paranoi. W kontekście historii i jej doświadczeń jest to jak najbardziej zrozumiałe, ale dziewczyno — odpuść trochę i żyj! Ach, jakie byłyby możliwości, gdyby trochę wyluzowała… 😉

Końcówka? Cliffhanger! Tak się książek nie kończy 😭 Potrzebuję drugiego tomu na wczoraj!

W trakcie lektury znalazłam dwie sceny, w których są pomieszane imiona. Ponieważ nie mam jeszcze wydania w języku angielskim, nie jestem w stanie sprawdzić, czy to kwestia tłumaczenia, czy było tak już w oryginale — ale na pewno to sprawdzę! Mam już upatrzone wydanie specjalne i nie mogę się doczekać.

Smoczą Iskrę mogę z czystym sumieniem polecić wszystkim fanom shifter romansów i lżejszych pozycji — takich, gdzie świat jest dobrze rozbudowany, ale nie przytłacza (nie potrzebujecie trzech tomów, żeby się połapać, co, gdzie i jak), a jednocześnie oferuje ciekawą fabułę, napięcie między bohaterami aż wycieka ze stron, a do tego bawi i wciąga.Jak już wcześniej napisałam — wypatruję drugiego tomu!

🇬🇧 I had the pleasure of reading another book by this author and absolutely loved it, so as soon as I spotted Spark the Flames, I knew I had to read it.

In terms of story and tropes, it’s absolutely perfect for me: enemies to lovers and dragon shifters. And these are “real” dragons — possessive, fierce, and obsessed with hoarding shiny things.They literally have their own treasure hoards 😄

The world itself is a mix of urban fantasy with elements of sci-fi… or maybe magic? 🤔 It’s honestly hard to define — I’d call it a blend, but it definitely has a futuristic vibe.

My biggest issue with the book is that the main character is a bit too fixated on her paranoia. It makes sense given her backstory and experiences, but girl — relax a little and live! Just imagine the possibilities if she loosened up a bit… 😉

The ending? A cliffhanger! You don’t end a book like that 😭 I need the second volume immediately!

While reading, I noticed two scenes where the names were mixed up in polish edition. Since I don’t have an English edition (yet), I can’t check whether it’s a translation issue or something from the original — but I will! I already have a special edition picked out and I can’t wait to get it.

I can wholeheartedly recommend it to fans of shifter romances and lighter reads — the kind where the world is well-developed but not overwhelming (you don’t need three volumes just to understand what’s going on), while still offering an engaging plot, strong tension between the characters, and a story that’s both fun and addictive.As I said before — I’m eagerly waiting for the next book!
